In the face of unimaginable loss, community members in Buffalo, NY, supported each other in unity. The 5/14 Living Memorial & Healing Center is where that story continues.

May 14, 2022
In a matter of minutes, a Saturday afternoon in May became one of the darkest days in the City of Buffalo’s history. Innocent community members, ages 32 to 86, were killed in a targeted act of racial hatred, three others were physically wounded, and an entire region was shaken by a senseless act of domestic terrorism.

Buffalo Police Department arrives on the scene.

Racist domestic terrorist was detained after killing 10, injuring three others, and causing lasting harm to survivors, families, and the broader Buffalo community.
